To provide an opportunity to travel around the five centuries of history, design and creativity of Italian footwear, the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute will organize an exhibition.
Dividied into three sections of History, Italian Handicraft and Haute Couture, the exhibition will present an interesting journey into the history of costume and the development of footwear as an item of design and fashion. It will also showcase how inventions and projects have been modified.
"Arte Che Cammina" exhibition or "Walking Art: History, Art and Fashion of Italian Footwear" at Seoul Olympic Museum in Bangi-dong, eastern part of Seoul will commence on November 23, 2006.
Italian footwear is the outcome of advanced handicraft in respect of manufacturing technique, creativity and research of new materials. Italian man and woman's designer footwear gracefully symbolize the Italian style at its best.
