The trend area will focus on the more innovative moods, using display flashes to help visitors easily find their way around the new trends and up-and-coming styles for the fall/winter 2007/2008: a project realized in collaboration with the exhibitors and inaugurated at the last edition with the Fashion Cube, curated by Sergio Colantuoni.

For this edition, the inspiration for the trend area will be an imaginary glimpse “behind the scenes” of fashion with six installations, each of which portraying a theme dedicated to new glamour: Movie Star, Rainbow Style, Noblesse Oblige, Eclectic Luggage, Metropolis and 6532.

The original fair layout will be produced by a team of architects from Pitti Immagine who once again will create a setting with an engaging and contemporary flair. Pitti Immagine also plans to invest in promotion for the event in order to involve a growing number of qualified buyers and, in collaboration with the ICE – Italian Institute for Foreign Trade - has realized a hospitality and targeted promotion plan which already managed to bring a number of foreign delegations to the last edition.

ModaPrima is a strategic event for Italian and foreign buyers who can find products at the fair to satisfy the demands of department and chain stores which are characterized by a high content of quality and style.

On 27th November, during ModaPrima, the president of the CFMI, Alfredo Canessa and Carlo Rivetti, president of the Sportswear Company, will be presenting a book entitled “Il Valore della Moda. Industria e servizi in un settore guidato dall'innovazione” by Marco Ricchetti and Enrico Cietta (Bruno Mondadori, Milan 2006).

An initiative sponsored by the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana in collaboration with Hermes Lab.
