In a first of its kind, Ahmedabad, the capital of Gujrat state, India, had given an opportunity to visually impaired women to walk on the ramp.
The fashion show witnessed over 30 blind women dressed in magnificent Indian outfit catwalked down the ramp without any assistance. The show had attracted around 200 people.
The beautiful young women applied their own make up and dressed themselves, were given a week-long training course on self-grooming and how to walk down ramp by choreographers.
This was a step towards gaining confidence to fight the darkness of their lives, and get the feel of glamorous and exciting world.
