International exhibition showcases gold, gems & jewellery

An international exhibition of gold, gems and jewellery is being arranged in Saudi Arabia for second time, which will see the participation of Arabian, Asian and European countries. It will be held at a hall.
Saudi gold and jewellery market is biggest of its kind in the Middle East. Annual rate of deals in this market has been elevated to US $7,200 million by the ritual 'Umrah', with 80 percent deals being imported per year to 4500 stores here.
Saudi jewellery market makes for 70 percent of total diamond consumption of the Arab market. This consumption increased 12 percent last year compared to 2004.
