Prominent artisans feel ignored in Lucknow Mahotsav

Indian art and craft is celebrated all over the world. It receives a special honour in the world market.

The Lucknow Mahotsav is organized by the office of the Handloom Commissioner and Ministry of Textiles, for the artisans and craftsmen to exhibit their talent.

But these award winning artisans are not happy with the kind of treatment they received from the organizers of Lucknow mahotsav. They feel the authorities are treating them shabbily.

These artisans complain about food, accommodation as well as transportation facility.

They experienced that they were treated in this manner because they were given the stalls for free. While the commercial stall owners are given a better deal.
