Local firms to benefit by sales of wool blankets

The official event of 'Rhody Warm' took place at the USDA Conference Center in Warwick.

RI Sheep Co-op ships about 1,400 pounds of raw wool to mills to be scoured, spun, and woven into blankets.

This project is jointly organized by State Resource Conservation & Development Area Council, DEM Division of Agriculture and the RI Sheep Co-operative. Sales of these blankets help local firms substantially.
