Woolen Expo 2006 is running at Circus Grounds, Sector 17, Chandigarh till December 25, sponsored by Central Wool Development Board (CWDB), Jodhpur. Weavers and organizations from Jammu-Kashmir, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh are taking part in the expo.
Embroidered shawls, suits and stoles from Jammu-Kashmir with starting price of just Rs400 and shawls from Rajasthan are available. Classic carpets, mats, rugs and wall hangings from Bhuj and Tonk are also exhibited.
Stylish and comfortable winter shoes with embroidery are latest additions. Warmers such as knitted socks and caps from Kullu and Kinnaur are in abundance. Also displayed are woolen suits and woven kurtas worth buying.
