Global Village, the cultural entertainment centre in Dubai, showcases different culture of different countries of the world. This has become Dubai's favourite tourist destination. This place is located in Dubailand on the Emirate road.

This season the Global Village has opened from December 13, 2006 and will continue till February 7, 2007.

The entire India pavilion in the Global Village is spread over an area of 130,000 square feet, with 326 stalls brimming with products from all over India.

The central Indian state Madhya Pradesh has participated, showcasing its spectacularly rich cultural heritage. Nearly 30 stalls are displaying products which include handicrafts, artifacts, garments, costumes, traditional jewellery, household items and ethnic dresses that depict the enriching tradition of the state.

15 stalls of Kashmiri Chamber of Commerce and Industries are displaying attractive, stylish Kashmiri products, handicrafts and carpets.

The Central Silk Board, a part of the Ministry of Textiles is also exhibiting the Indian speciality of Vanya Silks or Tasar, Eri, Muga and other ethnic fabrics.

The visitors of the Global Village surely got a chance to be acquainted with the diverse but beautiful culture of India.
