Awesome response at Ranchi handicraft fair

National khadi-cum-handicraft fair was held at in Morabadi grounds, Ranchi. The 17 day handicraft fair came to an end on January 7, 2007.
The event organized by Jharkhand State Khadi Gramudyog Board and the ministry of textile witnessed about 20,000 visitors every day to the fair.
In the fair, artisans done business worth Rs3 crore and state khadi board is planning to organise an international fair in October.
Carpets woven in Uttar Pradesh were a major attraction and the famous baluchuri sarees, designer pots and furniture were also included in the fair.
Fashion shows competitions were also organized for children.
