Textile designer Debbie Siniska has organized workshops in several Brighton and Hove, Sussex, schools, encouraging and involving primary grade students to create beautiful things out of recycled materials.

Brighton and Hove City Council and Veolia Environmental Services have collaborated to fund this project with an aim to generate awareness regarding the importance of recycling.

She will conduct these programs in Hertford Infants and Nursery School, St Andrew's Primary School, Westdene Primary School and St Bernadette's Primary School where children will learn to make rugs from discarded garments and clothing items.
