Kaziranga Festival promotes Assam silks

In recently held Kaziranga Elephant Festival, traditional silk of Assam was promoted in the show.
A Fashion show was also included displaying traditional and indigenous garments of the Northeast outfits designed by Prasantt Ghosh.
The show started with traditional bridal wear, where models twirled along the walkway in traditional mekhela chadar in paat and muga.
Garments were designed with geometric patterns, attractive floral knits and handwork.
About 55 designs were displayed in the traditional round of the show.
