Toshali National Crafts Mela to be held at the Janata Maidan from February 17 till February 28, is initiated by department of tourism on the lines of Surajkund Mela.
Craftsmen and artisans from 14 states will present their creations along with the participation of artisans from members of the SAARC community with Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, showcasing some of their well known craft.
The Tourism Department is inviting some performing groups from each nation to participate in theme based evening cultural programme, according to officials of the State Tourism Department.
The fair sponsored by the Central Government, will be the first national level event besides Surajkund which will also include cultural nites along with folk-based performance.
