Turkish Textile Products Fair opened in London on Tuesday with 65 Turkish companies promoting their stylish products.
The new collections of big clothing brands manufactured by local units were promoted. These brands include NEXT, Arcadia Group, Marks & Spencer, Dorothy Perkins, GAP, Debenhams, River Island, Top Shop and Oasis.
As Britain is the second-biggest market for Turkish textile products, local textile exports for the first quarter 2007 were $57.9 million, an increase of 8.4 percent over the same period 2006, informed Ismail Gülle, Chairman, Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Association (ITHIB).
