Indonesian batik show in Canberra

Celebrated Indonesian fashion designer Adji Notonegoro is all set to participate at the batik fashion show to be held on May 4 at Canberra`s Playhouse.

This event is together organized by Indonesian Embassy and the Indonesian community in Canberra and will be supported by Garuda Indonesia and Indo café.

Embassy spokesperson told the media, "The show to have the theme `batik as an Indonesian historical and cultural heritage` is expected to enhance the retail business contact of fashion products by the Indonesian designer. Adji can introduce the variety of the Indonesian fashion to the visitors of the show."

The show will include batik workshop and promote Indonesia's furniture and other products.

The embassy also said that Adji Notonegoro was selected to hold this event due to his experience and talented performances overseas.
