NGO organizes handicraft expo in Islamabad

Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Behbood Foundation, organized a textile, clothing and handicraft exhibition in Islamabad on Saturday.

The exquisite works of cross-stitch, cut-work, crocia and relly showcased here, were part of 'one craft, one village' project.

Abida Malik, Vice President, said, “The crocia work is from Chakwal, relly from Sindh and cut work from Alipur Farash.”

The organization aimed at women's social and financial empowerment.

Sources say that half of the proceeds from this event were used to ensure women's welfare while the rest was used to purchase raw material for handicrafts.
