The Eighth International Fashion Fabric Fair, which will be held in early August in Shanghai, is jointly organized by Shanghai International Commercial City, Dallas Market Management Center (DMC) of the United States, Technical Committee of China Dyeing Printing Industry Association, Shanghai Garment Trade Association, Clothing Accessories Professional Committee of Shanghai Garment Trade Association, and Korea Textile Center (KTC).

The exhibition will showcase the overall advantages of the industry clusters to provide more professional, direct and broader trading platform for the fabric producers.

Reportedly, the current trade fair will have five themes, such as '2007 Fashion release conference of global textile fabrics industry clusters', 'Display of the collection of 2007 China's outstandingly printed fabrics', 'Chinese textile fabrics fashion trends for 08/09 autumn and winter', 'Display and comment of 2008 best selling fabrics' and 'Face to face meeting of fabric purchasers'.

The number of exhibitors to partake in the event is likely to rise from around 300 last year to nearly 500. Renowned international buyers, like WalMart, Carrefour, H&M, are also invited to attend the fair. The total number of buyers is expected to exceed last year's 7,000.
