Organised by Guangzhou Municipality, Guangzhou Design Week is an annual international event for promoting innovation and design that takes place in Guangzhou at the end of November.
Under the theme “WIN BY DESIGN”, Guangzhou Design Week 2007 is composed of five elements: Absolute Design(Exhibition), a forum and conference, an award/competition, a workshop and a themed event, covering the different design fields, such as industrial design, branding & graphic design, cityscape & architecture design, interior design and fashion design.
Guangzhou Design Week 2007 will serve as a communicating platform between designers and entrepreneurs, which will raise public awareness of innovation, speed up the development of the Chinese design industry, discover the talents of designers, inspire designers' enthusiasm and creativity, encourage and drive Chinese enterprises to pay more attention to design and exploit more original products with independent intellectual property. The result should impel Chinese economic growth from “Made in China” to “Created in China”.
