Joburg Fashion Week, organized by African Fashion International, is gearing up to kick off the first day in Soweto. The event that begins today is scheduled to be concluded 25 August.
First day will feature The Soweto Collections so as to emphasize the rapid development of the region.
Renowned designers including Mzansi Designers, Nhlanhla, John Sithole (Earthquake), Sibu Msimang Designs, Malikah, David Tlale, Thabani Mavundla and Thula Sindi.
Soweto's Walter Sisulu Square has been chosen as the prerefct venue for the event, which will see specially invited VIP audience from South Africa's key media, celebrities, fashion industry leaders and members of the local community.
Later, Joburg Week will move on to Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton, where designers such as Marianne Fassler, Sun Goddess, David Tlale, Spero Villioti, KlukCGdT, Hip Hop and Habits will present Spring/Summer range.
