Likening the ongoing Wills India Fashion Week to a World Cup final, ace cricketer Kapil Dev was so impressed by the work of various fashion designers at the show that he invited some of them to design outfits for the just-launched rebel Indian Cricket League.
Dev, who is the Chairman of ICL's Executive Board, was invited to attend the fashion extravaganza by Anjana Bhargav, one of the 40 designers showcasing their spring summer collection during the five-day event.
Kapil also put fashion designers and cricketers on the same platform and said the country is full of talent, both in the fashion and cricketing arena, adding that all that was required was the right opportunity at the right time.
