To fortify the relations between India and Japan, a cultural fest 'Namaste India' will start today in Tokyo. The two day event will highlight Indian traditions that have earned a global reputation.
Program has been organized by the combined efforts of Indian embassy in Japan, ministry of tourism and India center in Tokyo.
This fiesta will feature an array of performances to aptly represent the various Indian states and their unique customs. The celebrations will also include the widely popular Bollywood themes.
Besides, number of stalls will exhibit and sell variety of vibrant Indian handicraft products and accessories. Moreover, mehndi and bindi booths are bound to be the center of attraction.
Yoga, being the most significant Indian heritage, will also form an integral part of the event.
Namaste India is designed primarily to enlighten and generate awareness about India. This in turn will promote healthy relations and improve trade prospective between the two countries.
