Strong presence from Eastern Europe at Stelline Exhibition Center

Record participation of international exhibitors at the 13th edition of INTERTEX MILANO and the 11th edition of READY TO SHOW : almost 200 collections were presented at the 140 stands spread on the two levels of the Palazzo delle Stelline Exhibition Center, in the heart of the world fashion center city - Milan.
As regards buyers/visitors, basically stable for the twin fairs that group together both imported clothing fabrics and partners of production outside Europe: 3388 persons in the three days of the fairs, held from September 11 to 13 (-5% in comparison to the last edition in February 2007).
It is important to note the increase of foreign buyers/visitors: 24% out of the total no. of the visitors ( 20% in February 2007 ) while the proportion of Italian buyers changed from 80% to 76% with 2538 people.
Exhibitors were from 21 countries, as usual, the most numerous ones came from the 3 leader countries of production.
Analysis of the product categories and the best sellers of the fairs : • Knitwear in cashmere (China / Mongolia) • Fabrics in silk and embroidery ( India / China / Korea) • Technical fabrics (Hong Kong /Taiwan / Korea) • Shirting fabrics and finished products (Turkey / Bangladesh / Slovenia)
