BIFF&BIL 2007 shines brightly in Bangkok

BIFF&BIL 2007 proved very successful based on the increase numbers of exhibitors, visitors,as well as the international press participated at the event.

A total increase of 18% in visitors:
The number of visitors increased 16.5% to 6,912 visitors from 73 countries. The number of exhibitors increased 21.2% from last year to 543 companies from 16 countries.

The largest increase in number of visitors was recorded from Japan(+58%) and Australian(28%) compared to last year.

The show also received great interest from the local fashion trade - resulting in 20% increase in local visitors attended the show during the three trade days this year.

ASEAN fashion hub:
Although BIFF&BIL has been established for over 20 years as an international event, this year was for the first time that the organizer placed emphasis on being a truly region fair, as the ASEAN fashion hub.

The concept was well received not only by regoinal exhibitors and visitors, but also from overseas buyers. Visitors from ASEAN countries grew 17% compared to last year.

Activity-filled event:
The show was accompanied by over 28 function held right there at the venue ranging from 7 fashion shows on the main catwalk, 9 mini-fashion shows held right in the middle of the fair hall, 12 seminars held during the 3 trade days, to design contest, etc.

Well covered by international press:
The fair was covered by over 30 international press members from 30 media agencies in 13 countries.

Next year fair dates announced:
BIFF&BIL 2008 will be held at BITEC, the same venue as this year, during 27 to 31 August 2008.
