Famed British Designer of the Year, Marios Schwab, recently contracted with Body Faders in Eastpointe, MI to have the company provide its patented heat sensitive dying process for fabric that was used in the London Fashion Week Show. The outfits, which cost as much as $2K US each, can be seen.
Karl Clayton of Body Faders says that Schwab will be ordering more fabrics as the company is currently accepting orders from their spring and summer 2008 collection. The designs are available on line and at Harvey Nichols in London and Barneys.
"It was all done through the Internet," says Clayton. Schwab was looking for a company that could provide the type of dying we do, and ordered several T-Shirts.
"When they liked what they saw, they asked us to send different fabric swatches. For their fashion show, they sent us their fabric, which we in turn dyed and returned to them so they could produce the outfits."
