Bangalore expo exudes the pride of Gujarat

A handloom and handicraft expo in Bangalore that started on November 30 will continue till the 11th of this month. The exhibition is organized by the Bangalore branch of Gujarat Emporium, a unit of Gujarat Handloom, Handicraft and Industrial Co-operative Federation Ltd.

A large variety of handicraft products is being displayed at the expo and will be made available for purchase. Some of these strikingly beautiful goods include royal embroidery work from Kutch, Ajarku and Chuuni (block print), salwar suits, jackets, skirts, saris, bedcovers, cushion covers, Chaklas (square piece of embroidered cloth), crafted roof covering, canopies and many more.

While, products from Jamnagar and Bhuj were mainly embroidery works on wall hanging, cushion cover, tie-and-dye on fabrics like cotton and silk sarees, dupattas, dress materials; Ahmedabad and Meshana presented items of metal engraving on aluminium and brass sheet.
