ZAK Garmentech for apparel technology leader

7th edition of ZAK Garmentech Bangaldesh 2008, the largest and most awaited technology tradeshow for the apparel industry is slated to be held between January 12 and 15, 2008, at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre, Dhaka, BANGLADESH.

With over 150 participants from 25 countries, the 7th edition is the largest and the most comprehensive apparel technology tradeshow in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh has been making rapid progress in recent years with investment into every spear of garment manufacturing. Starting in late 70s as a small nontraditional sector of export, Ready-made Garment (RMG) emerged as a promising export earning sector of the country.

Lack of fabric base was a handicap till recently whereas sufficient investments in to knitting, weaving and spinning has spurred the growth of apparel sector in the country.

It has not only galloped fast but has emerged as one of the leading producers of apparel in the region and has been growing steadily coping up the challenges of currency fluctuations.

It has also exploited well the opportunties presented Post-quota era and has capitalised through sufficient capacity expansion, increasing value addition and investing into backward integration.

With its strong base in shirt manufacturing Bangladesh offers a wide variety of apparel to choose from starting from knitwear, jeans, trousers and shirts.

ZAk Garmentech Bangladesh has over the years contributed significantly in the progress of the industry in the country by bringing in the gloabl leaders in technology under one roof and enabling the industry to come in large number to see the technology in live action as well as giving them options for comparisons.
