Creating sustainable style and designing eco-friendly products are some of the key issues being addressed at the 2008 Industry Seminar Series at the Australian International Furniture Fair in Sydney in February.
Five international and local industry experts will present seminars discussing topics including; global trends in colour and home furnishings, the benefits of creating environmentally sustainable design and using eco-friendly materials in your home.
The Industry Seminar Series will be led by International designer, Kaye Gosline, expert colour trends forecaster and creative director of the Floor Covering Division of Milliken & Company (USA). Kaye has 25 years experience and works closely with architects and interior designers throughout the world.
Joining Kaye from the international arena is Michael Leow, from renowned London based forecasting company Global Colour research. Locally, Andreas Sederof, director of Sunpower Design, Director of Dirtscape Dreaming, Wendy Clarke and Andrea Lucena-Orr, Colour and Communications Manager, Dulux Australia will each also present seminars over the three days.
Michael Leow is one of Asia/Pacific regions most experienced speakers on lifestyle trends and forecasting issues and will be presenting Trend Directions in Global Home Furnishings.
Michael represents 10 of the world's best rated fashion and lifestyle trends and is part of the Global Colour Group and will provide ideas and inspiration for making more sustainable design choices.
Andreas Sederof will be presenting Environmentally Sustainable Design – Designing Homes that Don't Cost the Earth. Andreas has won a plethora of awards for environmentally and energy efficient building projects and will be exploring how sustainable homes can look great while performing efficiently.
