Quilt artist weaves jazz waves in colorful strings

World-renowned quilt artist Jacquelyn Hughes Mooney is exhibiting her creation at 'If Jazz Was a Color', which reflects and interprets the splendor and sounds of jazz music in a striking visual displays of vivid textile collages.

The event that began on November 2, 2007, will go on through January 6, 2008 at American Jazz Museum.

The community members gathered in the Changing Gallery for a free opening reception featuring live jazz with the Dennis Winslett Quartet and some special jazz poetry from Jacquelyn Hughes Mooney.
