The Guild of Big Brothers Big Sister of Greater Los Angeles and the Inland Empire (BBBSLA) recently hosted a luncheon and fashion show to benefit the organization's founding mission of helping children reach their potential through one-on-one mentoring relationships.

The sold out event featured a boutique with high end items including clothing, jewelry and other fashion accessories. The fashion show featured the latest trends and celebrity-inspired collection of Allen Schwartz's A.B.S. line and was modeled by models from Tyra Banks' hit show “America's Next Top Model.”

“With the increasing demand for essential children's services that the BBBSLA provides, we are pleased to support their efforts on behalf of our youth,” explained Rochelle Maize, co-founder of the Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation. “The event was an enjoyable experience and made even more rewarding knowing that all that shopping would raise funds which will help provide young people with a solid foundation for achieving future success,” she added.

Event supporters included prominent Beverly Hills resident Sandy Krause and daughter Cathy Kirkpatrick, along with Rochelle Maize and a host of other eager donors and shoppers.

Through their established Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation, the Maizes are dedicated to supporting a variety of youth oriented programs, including the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles and Inland Empire and Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services. For many years, they have generously contributed time and financial resources to the American Cancer Society, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Camp Harmony and many other worthwhile causes.

The Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation is a philanthropic organization that supports and contributes volunteer and financial resources to causes locally in the community and worldwide by supporting meaningful programs focusing on art, culture, family services and healthcare that work to help people live more fulfilling lives.
