China Cotton Summit fair to be held on May 7-8

2008'China Cotton Summit & International Cotton Fair will be held on May 7 and 8 2008 in Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province, China. China Cotton Summit is held every two years since 2004, and this will be the third session in 2008.

Based on the successful experience from the previous two sessions, this year's summit will be incorporated with the International Cotton Fair with the theme “The Chinese and Global Cotton Industry: Long Term Development and Cooperation”.

This Summit will invite government officials from National Development Reform Commission (NDRC), Ministry of Finance (MOF), Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), Ministry of Commerce (MOC), State Administration for Industry & Commerce, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the PRC, National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Agricultural Development Bank of China (ADB), China National Textile and Apparel Council and merchants from domestic and abroad.

Speeches, dialogues and business talk will be core to the summit to understand issues of China and the global cotton industry and help participants to master global cotton trends.
