AWI aspires to encourage designers

Australian Wool Innovation (AWI), has planned to organize Australia Merino Woolmark Prize to encourage the designers who create outstanding woolen garments. The award function will take place in Paris next month.

This year participants from countries like Japan, Norway, England, Belgium, Germany, France and China will showcase their creative work in front of experts who hail from fashion industry.

The winner will not only receive nearly 1,00,000 European dollars, but will get a chance to display the collection at Colette, a high-end boutique in Paris. The woolen wear will be produced in collaboration with Woolmark.

AWI, is a non profit organization, that invests approximately 60 million Australian dollars, in research and development of the wool industry.
