The Hue Traditional Handicrafts festival is due to be held from June 12-14 of the current year. The theme of the festival is “Identity and Development” in 2009. The fair will showcase artistic performances and handicraft production.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will also hold an exhibition of local traditional handicrafts products and also a handicrafts items contest in order to encourage the artisans.
The fair is expected to draw a majority of craftsmen and artisans from allover the rural areas of Vietnam and will also attract the attention a large number of handicraft lovers from the province as well as surrounding areas.
