Kolkata Fashion Week (KFW) second season promises to be even more bigger with its theme – Earth Couture.This fashion carnival featuring who's who of the fashion world kicks off in Kolkata on 9th September, 2009 through 13th September, 2009 at the ITC, The Sonar, Kolkata.
Kolkata Fashion Week is a step forward for Kolkata which aims to create a platform that is at once mainstream and avant garde, relying on tradition yet breaking norms to innovate in perspective and movement. With a theme of Earth Couture, which focuses on the rich heritage of weavers and weaves in Bengal and the UN Year of Natural Fibre, the event celebrates designers who have created marvels out of natural fibre and who are the face of Indian fashion internationally. Kolkata Fashion Week promises to redefine the fashion landscape of the country.
