Nolcha platform brings ultimate success to designers

In a struggling economy of decreasing retailer budgets and no risk choices being made, the Nolcha fashion business network is continuing to push global fashion businesses into the New York fashion market.

The award-winning Nolcha Fashion Week has rapidly become a home for emerging fashion talent to exhibit collections, had a variety of buyers and retail owners in attendance scouting the showcasing brands; including powerhouse SARAR – the Turkish originated retailer now operating over 300 stores globally.

A season favorite that exhibited in the Accessory Lounge is schander handbags who will now be available in Sarar Manhattan and Donella's Closet. The collection consists of the finest quality leather from calf to lambskin and with gold and silver hardware there is an element of luxury and glamour to each style.

Kerry Bannigan, Nolcha CEO, shares: “It is tough times for many brands so it is important to connect designers to the correct resources in order to succeed. I am happy to see designer's achievements via our platform and hope that their relationships continue within the network. Nolcha provides the tools but it is the initiative of the designer that leads to ultimate success.”

During the Ethical Fashion Preview the PKD Spa brand was approached by several buyers to carry her full sustainable wellness collection and is now in talks to take the brand internationally for store placement and runway activities. The success of the Ethical Fashion Preview continued on for members of the Bel Esprit showroom who each received interest from potential buyers.

Deborah Pollakus, founder of Bel Esprit showroom, states: “Designers were able to engage buyers and press and discuss their collections in a relaxed environment. The quality of the invitation list was evident in the designers' response: they were all delighted with the event and the networking opportunities it presented. Every designer ended the day having realized at least several of their business goals.”
