One of the most renowned and exclusive tradeshows for feminine fashion brands in the world, the New York Fashion Coterie, held its Autumn/Winter edition in the United States from September 20 to 22.
This was Brazil's fifth participation in the event and this time included the presence of six Brazilian companies: Constança Basto, Elisa Atheniense, Maria Bonita Extra, Iódice, Luiza Barcelos and Pollignanno Al' Maré.
The participation of these companies in yet another edition of the Fashion Coterie was organized by the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association – ABIT, through Texbrasil, its Brazilian export incentive program, and with the support of APEX-Brasil, Export and Import Promotion Agency.
The result of all this effort could be seen during the Tradeshow, where the Brazilian companies made approximately 250 contacts with buyers from several countries and regions, such as: United States, Middle East, Asia, Canada and Turkey, among others.
The total business volume from the event will exceed US$484 thousand. The expectation for business generation over the next 12 months, as a result of the contacts made by the companies is at around US$600 thousand, and could reach a total of US$ 1 million.
According to Adriano Iódice, Iódice industrial director, the tradeshow allowed the company to "link the main idea about its product's concept, fitting its proposal in the current international economic scenario."
For Jane Leroy, Elisa Atheniense marketing analyst, the event was good in the sense of "establishing contact with new clients and promoting the company, its products and brands."
