The Fashion Design Council of Canada (FDCC) is hearing sweet MUZIK to their ears as they celebrate 10 great seasons in fashion and announce a new venue for the upcoming season's L'Oréal Fashion Week, to take place October 17 – 22, 2005.

The newly renovated MUZIK is located in the heart of the exhibition grounds at 15 Saskatchewan Road. The 1907 horticultural building built by architect G.W. Guinlock, features a spectacular glass dome in the entranceway and is surrounded by 20 limestone statues created by E.B Cox.

“As L'Oréal Fashion Week celebrates its 10th season, they wanted to commemorate the milestone by moving to a brand new space – a diamond in the rough that not many people will be familiar with just yet,” said Robin Kay, president of the FDCC.

L'Oréal Paris has been a sponsor for many seasons and is pleased to return as the title sponsor for the event. As fashion and beauty are intrinsically linked, L'Oréal's hair and make-up beauty team will collaborate with each designer before the event to create the perfect runway beauty looks to complement each collection. In addition, this season's Fashion Week has its first presenting sponsor, Sony, who has chosen the event to launch and brand their newest flat screen product, Bravia. The FDCC welcomes other new sponsors Schick, Restylane, Rowenta, GKFA.com, and Parasuco, to join established partners City of Toronto, Holt Renfrew and Hazelton Lanes.

The five-day, biannual event is Canada's premier showcase of home grown fashion design talent. Held in Toronto, Fashion Week has grown significantly over only a few years to become internationally recognized – one that draws over 450 accredited media a season.
