Christian Wijnants (Belgium)

Christian Wijnants was born in Belgium in 1977 and studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He won the Prix du Festival de Hyères in 2001. For two years, he was an assistant to Dries van Noten in Anwerp. He created his own label in 2000. Since 2003, Christian Wijnants has been showing his new collections in Paris. They are available at Henri Bendel and Jeffrey, New York, Colette in Paris and Midwest in Tokyo.

Charles Anastase (Great Britain)

Charles Anastase was born in London in 1979 and studied political science. He began his fashion career by designing couture T-shirts. His own Prêt à Porter line was launched on the market only recently in 2002 and is sold at Barneys in New York, le Bon Marché and Maria Luisa in Paris and at Isetan and Beams in Tokyo.

Nuit Blanche (Switzerland)

Harald Péclat (1968) and Cheyoung-Huey (1969) are a married couple who began their fashion career in 2000 with the Nuit Blanche label. The brand is on sale in the Globus department store (Switzerland) and in many boutiques in China and Taiwan. Both studied at the Chambre Syndicale de la couture parisienne in Paris.

“annabelle Award” to be presented for the second time

The “annabelle Award” is to be presented on the same evening.

The prize consists of a one-year traineeship with a prestigious international designer. annabelle pays the costs of the stay and monthly pocket money as afee, so enabling a talented young Swiss designer to make a debut on the international fashion scene.
