Roland Mouret is the Red Carpet Designer of the Year at BFA

At a glitering British Fashion Awards ceremony, Nicky Clarke presented Roland Mouret the Red Carpet Designer of the Year award, last night.

Mouret designed and fashioned the e-bay's hottest selling Galaxy dress that drapes wearers body in perfect embrace.

Earleir, the designer announced split from Sharai and Andre Meyers, his promoters for five years.

However, the company will retain him for further six months as its design head.

Fashion world was in full attendence with Emilia Fox as the host.

Among the other awardwinners were the Designer of the Year awarded to Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey by Vogue editor Alexander Shulman.

Suzy Menkes won the V&A Outstanding Achievement Award presented by Alexander Mc Queen. Suzy is fashion director of The Herald.

Stephen Jones (Accessory designer of the Year) and Karen Elson (Model of the Year) joined Roland Mouret in the award winners list.
