I.L.M Summer Styles promises a lively prelude of S/S 2011

Fashion and brand competence and an international manuscript feature the offers at the I.L.M Summer Styles that is going to take place as 133rd International Leather Goods Fair from September 25th to 28th , 2010 in Offenbach. About 220 exhibitors are expected at this seasonal event for fashionable bags, leather accessories, travel- and school articles with their collection novelties for Spring/Summer 2011.
The exhibition program comprises the new fashion collections of international lifestyle- and designer labels, young fashion products that are strong on the market as well as innovative trend collections concerning small leather goods, travel- and leisure bags, business- and school articles, umbrellas, gloves, belts, and other fashion accessories. For the first time the Event Center on level C3 will be used at this Summer Styles 2010 not only as show area but also as an exhibition section for innovative newcomers who are representing their already successful labels on the leather market.
In Hall A4, too, the exhibits have been enlarged by further dynamic brands and labels for the coming fair and thus allow to quite talk of a second “New Vibration” Hall.
There will also be some gastronomical alterations: due to the enlarged exhibition area in the Event Center there will only be a small and delicate catering there. Mediterranean specialties will be found at the Fashion Bistro in Hall A4 and classical, hearty treats are offered in the Gastro Tent in the courtyard of the Fair.
With view to participation and the structure of providers Mrs. Ursula A. Diehl, managing director of the Messe Offenbach, is pleased to assess that the I.L.M Summer Styles again guarantees an extraordinary purchaseand information platform for the trade. Correspondingly high are the expectations to the number of visitors: Mrs. Diehl assumes that more than 6,000 qualified visitors from inland and abroad may be welcomed at this September-I.L.M just like last year.
The Fair addresses buyers from the shoe- and clothing trade as well as the trade branches of bags and leather accessories but also the leather goods specialized trade and the relevant departments of the groups and mail order companies.
Highlights of the supporting program: German Leather Goods Prize Award – This is the 11th occasion to confer the German Shoe- and Leather Goods Prize during an I.L.M for the product group leather goods. The prize is awarded nationwide and sponsored by the State of Hesse for a convincing interaction between innovative design, functionality, quality, and the processing of a leather ware.
It will be bestowed for three product subgroups, i.e. small leather goods, articles for travel, business, and school as well as handbags. An award certificate issued on the name of the manufacturer and a prize money amounting to EUR 2,500.—for the designer/s or the designer team will be allocated for each product category. On top of that the manufacturer gets the right to use the prize for promotion purposes.
