Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (ABIT) reported that on November 22, the ABIT Fashion Nucleus team presented the Fashion Preview lecture at the entity's headquarters introducing the strongest trends for the Paris, Milan, London and New York fashion shows. The event has the support of Sinditêxtil-SP and APEX-Brasil, through the Texbrasil Program.

Aissa Basile, Nucleus coordinator who watched all of the fashion shows, gathered the information, grouped it into themes, prints and models, color charts and fabrics, thus decoding the biggest bets for Spring-Summer 2006-07 for the public.

According to the specialist, the color chart highlights whites, black on white, black, and pastels, as well as natural and crude colors. “White ruled on the walkways,” stressed Basile. Among the fabrics, linen emerges in several variations. The trends point to themes such as the Romantic, the 1980s, and the New Innocents, among others.

Lisa Torrano, from Alcântara Machado, participated in the lecture for the first time. Lisa Torrano found the details Aissa prepared on the international fashion shows to be extremely interesting. She stated that such detail is uncommon in other lectures about trends. For Gloria Kim, from the Heri and Ik Ahn clothing industries, the Fashion Preview information helps in guiding their creation work.

The fashion consultant, Tima Pagani, also participated in the event. The consultanted pointed out that it is a great opportunity because it encompasses everything. The weaving professionals as well as the Apparel Industries use the lecture content to anticipate what's coming up ahead.
