Taking aleaf from the famous Shanghai Mart, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) is developing an ultramodern exposition mart for the cottage and handicrafts industry.
Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, which is establishing the mart, comes under the Ministry of Textiles. The mart is being set up for the promotion of export of handicrafts from India.
Handicrafts, like handlooms, carpet and jute items would decorate the display rack at the mart.
A GNIDA official informed that it would be india's first state-of-the-art Exposition Mart for Cottage and Handicraft industry.
Official also added that the mart would have consistent supply right through the year, quick turnover, capacity to take up new technologies and design and round-the-clock international marketing.
