Out of Mind talks about darker side of emotion

The “Out of Mind” collection from CELLDSGN is a fashionable expression about the darker side of emotion. The Spring/Summer line explored the complexity of the human mind by incorporating depth and layers into their clothes. Designers Shani Himanshu and Smita Singh Rathore fused practicality with aesthetics through their outfits of gossamer and cotton silk with tasseled necklines as well as gathers of folded cloth adorning the shoulders of the outfits.

The designers aimed to stand out by avoiding happy colours characteristic of spring, and working in every aspect of the human mind in colours of beige, pale gold, fiery red and shimmering black. Navy blue work suits with buttons running down their front were accompanied by tasseled shawls and clutches. A kaftan and a maxi dress in printed parrot green fabric were displayed to add a dash of colour to the collection. The traditional milkmaid outfit met Japanese influences in a layered outfit of red and beige, with folds and frills dominating the outfit.

Innovative split-toed ninja boots of canvas and leather soles in red, white and ivory accompanied the outfits along with organic accessories designed by Mia Morikawa.

Known for their uniquely versatile creations, the latest collection from CELLDSGN employed careful attention to detail, in a bid to prove the existence of beauty in imperfection and distortion.
