Denim by Première Vision – a successful event

Denim by Première Vision flaunted the jeans world's favourite colour from one end of Blueville to the other, in the Blue Lane, the Blue House, the Blue Garden. Connecting the show's entry with the exhibit areas, the Blue Lane proposed an initiation into the major denim fashion directions for spring summer 12: - All out colour, which underlined the chromatic richness of pure indigo, the generosity of blues engorged with colour, as well as neat tears revealing multi-layers and doubles faces with a close look at the paleness of faded effects and laser de-colorations.

A season that is overall cleaner, with determined and less dirty, less earthy colour effects, more pastel and neater. - In full motion, a theme that encompasses fluidity and softness, with Lyocell and viscose blends both for neat and heavier qualities, as well as for textured weaves playing on magical mixes of colour and treatment. Continuity of stretches and bi-stretches to accentuate suppleness and comfort.

Total lightness, a chic spirit everyone was asking for, for chambray shirtings made of ultrafine yarns or silk blends that enhanced the femininity of dresses and light tops. A fully refined lightness that moved markets away from multi-use weights and unisex ideas.

Primitive and high-tech, that creates a link between naturals and synthetics, high-performant or recycled the uneven aspects of irregularly spun fabrics or linen blends, raw canvas and leather aspects for a menswear market that is more and more sophisticated. A variety of special events were featured off the Blue Lane and throughout the aisles of the show.

A laid back and friendly atmosphere was found at the Blue Garden, created by Bossa, Italcab and Meida, while Arvind's Blue House, with its traditional khadi loom and spinning wheel, showcased sustainable production and craftsmanship with demonstrations of indigo dyeing and hand printing of traditional motifs. In the Denim by Wad area, the magazine specialised in urban fashion displayed the portraits shot on the spot at the Atelier Denim at Première Vision Paris in September.

A gallery of looks, from the most serious to the most twisted, around one shared value: jeans. Before rejoining the whole of the jeans world at the Halle Freyssinet on the new dates of 25 and 26 May 2011 for the autumn winter 2012/13 season, the denim's fashion segment will be getting together at Première Vision next 8, 9 and 10 February at the Atelier Denim, an area entirely dedicated to denim in the Relax universe.

Launched last September and already some 15 exhibitors strong, this area won over ready-to-wear professionals and designers, who work on a later calendar than that of Denim by Première Vision.
