Dominican University's apparel design and merchandising department will present its annual student fashion show, "Awaken," on Saturday, April 9 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, April 10 at 3:00 p.m. in the Lund Auditorium, 7900 W. Division Street, River Forest.
The university's auditorium will be transformed into a fashion extravaganza complete with a runway, flashing lights, and pounding music. Models will exhibit over 125 original garments designed and created by students majoring in apparel design. Special categories will include wearable art, "no waste" design, tailored coats and suits, and multi-use apparel.
In addition, graduating senior designers will show a collection of garments as the culminating work of their college studies. The production is completely organized and staged by senior apparel students.
