The next edition of The London Textile Fair (TLTF) will be held on January 9–10, 2024 at the Business Design Centre (Central London). The event will be focusing on Spring/Summer 25 pre-collections, and current season’s highlights.

With around 500 exhibitors, TLTF is the UK’s premier platform for fashion fabrics, apparel accessories, print studios, and vintage garments. Held at the Business Design Centre twice a year (January and September), it’s an unmissable event for all industry professionals, organiser Textile Events said in a press release.

TLTF presents the latest collections from the top international manufacturers traveling from more than 15 countries, including Turkiye, China, India, Taiwan, and many European countries. TLTF has been running for 15 years, attracting more than 3,000 buyers at each edition. Its visitors are predominantly from the UK and virtually representing the most influential buyers and designers from the major high-street retail stores as well as independent designers and buyers from their contract manufacturers.

The majority of exhibitors are manufacturers and their agents who specialise in fashion textiles and apparel accessories for the high-street clothing industry. TLTF doesn’t have an apparel dedicated area.

TLTF has three halls—the Fashion Textiles Hall, the Accessories and Trims Area, and Print Design and Vintage Area.

The Fashion Textiles Hall is the largest within the exhibition with around 350 exhibitors presenting cotton, woven, shirting, jersey, silk, outerwear, rainwear, eco-friendly, coated fabric, printed fabrics, wool, worsteds, linens, denim, embroideries, laces, tweed, fancies, flannel, synthetics, technical, and a lot more.

The Accessories and Trims Area at TLTF provides an opportunity for buyers and designers to get ahead and view the latest trims and accessories which include linings, leather labels, woven labels, hangtags, pullers, patches, frogs, straps, embroideries, studs, rivets, tags, packaging, personalised accessories, buttons–military, horn, corozo, river shell, mop, horn resin, nylon, glass, natural trims, and a lot more.

TLTF now has a large Print Design and Vintage Area. Attracting some of the world’s most exciting trend and design studios, visitors can peruse and buy at their leisure through current ranges. The Vintage section works very well and collaborates closely with the Print Studios, offering a different handwriting to the print designs.

TLTF is an ideal platform for meeting with designers, buyers, and contract manufacturers for all the major high-street chains of both men’s and women’s clothing retailers, added the release.

Exhibitors are exposed to the most influential British buyers and designers from the major high-street retail stores as well as independent designers and buyers from their contract manufacturers. Regular visitors include Allsaints, Urban Outfitters, Dorothy Perkins, Vivienne Westwood, River Island, Ted Baker, Top Shop, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, Debenhams, Victoria Beckham, Asos, French Connection, New Look, Coast, Oasis, and many more.

All stands have the same size, open space with no walls. Shell schemes are not used as it is believed that the open space creates a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with a more approachable way of establishing business connections.

Each stand is approximately 9 sqm and includes a table, four chairs, table sign, and a tablecloth. Exhibitors have also the possibility to rent up to three rails per stand.

The TLTF concept is very simple—each exhibitor is provided with a single stand, chairs, tablecloth, rails, and a sign. It is ensured that each and every exhibitor is promoted equally in this way and big banners are not allowed on the floor. Whether a large or a small manufacturer, the modular format of single tables offers an equal opportunity for all.

All tables are selected via a lottery so there is no possibility of ordering a better position—it’s ‘potluck’. However, it also possible within the lottery to put mills together with their agents. This ethos is extended to advertising and the exhibition brochure produced does not have advertisements from exhibitors.

The Business Design Centre is a reputed venue in the heart of Islington, Central London. With its beautiful glass ceiling and plenty of natural light, it is a favourable location for a fashion and textile show. It is centrally located and well connected to public services.

Textile Events is a leading textile exhibition platform in the UK. It has been running industry shows for more than 15 years and has a complete database of British buyers who regularly attend its events.
