Silk stockings to be next hot product: CHPE

"Silk stockings can help highlight female characteristics more than any other fashion product. Compared with other types of socks, they are featured with high technical content, high added value and excellent product experience," the organisers said in a media release.

"As a fashion item, silk stockings are easily influenced by the current trend and wearing demand environment. By bringing additional wearing functions to the product (such as warmth and moulding), changing the pattern and colour, or matching with other clothing and accessories, they will become the next hot product. This is attributable to the innovative style design, advanced production and material technology," the release added.

Jointly organised by ITE Asia Exhibitions Limited, Shanghai Gehua Exhibition Planning Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Aige Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., CHPE has been deeply exploring the hosiery and fashion industries for 15 years. The next edition of the expo will be held at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from March 2-4, 2020.

Focusing on B2B trade, the three-day event covering an area of 50,000 square metres will attract 800 exhibitors and about 20,000 visitors. Highlighting the trend and cutting-edge production technology and equipment in the industry, the expo will bring together outstanding manufacturers, brands, distributors and traders from the hosiery industry across the world, focus on achieving business cooperation between enterprises and build a top platform for demonstration and exchanges in the industry.

Several stockings manufacturers and brands have already confirmed their participation in the expo. The companies include Lida Knitting, Huayi Knitting, Yidie Knitting, Weiersi Knitting, Yingqier Knitting, Jinchun Knitting, Liye Socks, Yongchun Technology, Huagao Knitting, Huabang Clothing, Xiluo Clothing, Hongrun Socks, Jiayi Knitting, Hualite Kitting, Dayu Socks, Jiuli Knitting, Hemu Knitting, Dafeng Yifu Knitting, Outward Knitting, Dahe Knitting, Yumei Clothing, etc. At the three-day exhibition, these brands will bring all kinds of silk stockings including anklets, socks, stockings, knee socks, pantyhose and garter belts.

Meanwhile, the organisers of the 15th CHPE will once again join hands with 2020 Shanghai International Modern Underwear Expo. The two expos will be held at two different exhibition halls in the same place to deepen the cross-border energy of the fashion industry.
