The 16th International Textile Asia Exhibition in Pakistan ended with deals of around $350 million signed at the three day trade show, which was also attended by over 500 foreign visitors. The organisers of the textile machinery trade show also inked an agreement to continue to jointly conduct the fair for the next five consecutive years in Lahore.

According to PRGMEA senior vice chairman Sohail Sheikh, the trade show was visited by over 100,000 visitors over the three days, which also featured B2B meetings, several industry-related presentations and seminars.

PRGMEA chief coordinator Ijaz Khokhar said that although this edition was dominated by presence of several Chinese companies, they would strive to attract companies from Europe, mainly Germany at the next edition. (AR)
