Chinese warp knitting machines reach world standards

Several Chinese warp knitting machine manufacturing firms have now improved to a level where they are producing machines that meet world standards.

As a result, domestic fabric and apparel manufacturers have begun buying local warp knitting machines, instead of importing from Germany.

This has given price advantage to textile and garment firms and has also increased their warp knitting production efficiency.

In the first half of the current year, warp knitting machine manufacturers’ operating momentum was very good, and several key manufacturers had a lot of orders, especially in Jiangsu Province.

However, from the second half of this year, sales of warp knitting machines have declined, but lace, crochet and other warp knitting products still have a lot of demand, and warp knitting machine manufacturers have enough orders.

As warp knitting and warp knitting manufacturing equipment technology continues to improve, the warp knit fabric has become increasingly diverse, and the demand for warp knitting machines is especially growing in upstream production enterprises.

Being hopeful of increase in demand, some companies are investing in the production of warp knitting machines. For example, Karl Mayer (China) Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of the German Karl Mayer, completed the construction of the third phase of its production unit in November last year, which mainly produces all kinds of advanced warp knitting machine assembly and testing. The company would soon have a capacity to annually produce 3,000 units.
