During January-July 2006, China imported 1836 washing-bleaching-dyeing machines, down 12.24 percent comparing to the same period of last year, with import value at US $105 million, falling 22.00 percent.
Average import price was US$57300 per set, 15.63 percent below that of last year, according to the General Administration of Customs.
The top five importers in accumulative quantity were Guangdong at 581 sets, 15.55 percent lower from previous year; Jiangsu at 375 sets, down 8.09 percent; Zhejiang at 206 sets, declining 7.14 percent; Shandong at 210 sets, descending 35.19 percent; Fujian at 168 sets, rising 41.18 percent.
