During January-July 2006, China imported 963 automatic rewinders, rising 12.24 percent comparing to the same period of last year, with import value at US$119 million, up 38.04 percent.
Average import price was US$123,600 per set, 22.99 percent above that of last year, according to the General Administration of Customs.
The top five importers in accumulative quantity were Shangdong with 301 sets, ascending 22.36 percent; Jiangsu with 272 sets, jumping 121.14 percent; Guangdong with 93 sets, gaining 60.34 percent; Zhejiang at 64 sets, down 46.67 percent; Fujian at 48 sets, sharply raising 242.86 percent.
