As many as 117 exhibitors will participate in the Australian Cotton Conference which will be held during August 16-18 on the Gold Coast. At the conference, participants will learn to be a better, more efficient and profitable farmer about what drives global markets and cotton customers, future of cotton R&D, sustainability, technology and innovation.

Women in cotton organisation Wincott will host a luncheon on August 18 during the conference to celebrate the contributions of women throughout the cotton supply chain. Guest speaker Joy McClymont is a rural woman, mother of four and successful health and wellbeing coach who has found ways to keep fit by utilising what is available, Australian Cotton said in a press release.

This year, the Australian Cotton Shippers Association and Cotton Australia are teaming up to showcase Australian cotton fashion to the industry with the “Australian By Design” fashion parade. Leading brand partners will highlight beautiful garments made from Australian cotton during the parade including Rodd and Gunn, Bonds, Sussan, Country Road, ELK The Label, Willow and Claude, Kamakura Shirts and 2022 Future Cotton Leader and fashion designer Emma Bond.

Over 1000 delegates will celebrate the end of conference at the gala 2022 Australian Cotton Industry Awards Dinner. This year will be even more special with Cotton Australia hosting the event and celebrating 50 years since the peak industry body was established back in 1972.  Recipients across five categories of awards for 2022 will also be announced.
